LEGGY
27th Oct 2024
Leggy is a nervous all black, female cat who is being fostered near Wolverhampton. She came into care a few weeks ago after being found living in a derelict house along with 3 young kittens who we believe to be hers. We don’t know her age but estimate her to be less than 2 years old.
She had a front leg that she was dragging around and unable to use. The damage turned out to be nerve related and when the leg didn’t improve we decided to amputate and save her any more pain.
Leggy has now been spayed and has been given the all clear from our vets. Although she is still having cage rest, we think now would be a good time to try to find her a loving new home. She isn’t well socialised but she is not nasty, in fact she has been a model patient, allowing the vets to handle and examine her with only the smallest of hisses.
She is fine with the other cats in the foster home and doesn’t so much as blink an eye when the youngsters try to steal her food!
Obviously Leggy needs a fairly quiet home, without young children. She also needs to be kept in because she only has 3 legs, although a cat proof garden or catio would be wonderful.
She is still fearful of people and it may take a long time for her to adjust, so any potential adopter needs to be realistic about her progress.
